Privacy Policy — Yellow Audio Suite
Last updated: 2026-10-17
Yellow Audio Suite ("the App") is published by thosekids studio. We take a simple position on privacy: we do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or usage data.
What the App does on your Mac
The App is a learning playground and host for the bundled Audio Unit plugins (Yellow Gain Stage, Yellow EQ Stage, Yellow Compressor Stage, Yellow Limiter Stage, Yellow Gate Stage, Yellow Delay Stage).
- Audio plays locally. The built-in test loops (SYNTH / DRUMS / BASS / NOISE) run entirely on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.
- System audio capture is local-only. When you press START SYSTEM CAPTURE, macOS asks you to grant Screen Recording permission so the App can route "what you're hearing" through the selected plugin. The audio is processed in real time and discarded — it is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.
- The plugins also work in your DAW. When used in Logic Pro, GarageBand, Luna, Ableton Live, Reaper, Studio One, or any other AU-compatible host, the plugins process audio in that host's own process. We do not receive anything from your DAW.
What we do not do
- No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting beacons.
- No user accounts, no logins, no cloud sync.
- No ads, no third-party SDKs.
- No network requests of any kind from the App or the plugins.
Permissions the App may request
| Permission | Why it's requested | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Screen Recording | Required by macOS to use ScreenCaptureKit for routing system audio to the plugin. Only audio is read — the App does not capture video or screenshots of your display. |
Local only |
You can revoke this permission at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording.
Children
The App is appropriate for all ages and does not collect any information from any user, including children under 13.
